David Butow
David Butow is a freelance photojournalist whose pictures have appeared in National Geographic, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, on the covers of TIME and Newsweek, and in many books and magazines worldwide.
"Photojournalism usually wants to be black in white, in the philosophical if not the tonal sense: Something is happening and the public needs to know about it. The photojournalist steps in and — using the universal language of imagery — makes a descriptive picture that provides easy access to meaning. That’s the idea, at least." - David Butow
