February 14 - April 12, 2025
Loving is a new exhibition featuring compelling photographs exploring themes of love, romance, passion, and devotion. A central focus of the exhibit are photographs by Grey Villet of an interracial couple, Richard and Mildred Loving, who married and then spent the next nine years fighting for the right to live as a family, resulting in the landmark unanimous Supreme Court decision against state laws banning marriage between individuals of different races.
Free screening of the acclaimed documentary “The Loving Story”, a simple, profound love story between one man and one woman who in and of themselves were unlikely crusaders in the fight for equality.

“Has everyone been in love? Not on the basis of the evidence. If they have, they’ve forgotten it. If everyone had been in love, they’d treat their children differently. They’d treat each other differently.” —James Baldwin
